Courant Slams DeStefano

Will John DeStefano’s unwillingness to abandon union supporters hurt his gubernatorial campaign? Yes, if The Hartford Courant has anything to say about the matter. An editorial in Sunday’s Courant (whose owner, the Chicago-based Tribune Co., is known for hardball tactics against some of its own unions) attacked DeStefano for not taking Yale New Haven Hospital’s side against a union trying to gain community benefits from a proposal to build a new cancer center.
