Prospect Street Mugging

A woman was mugged at the border of the East Rock and Newhallville neighborhoods Wednesday night as she was returning home, according to the police. She parked her car at Mansfield and Starr streets shortly after 9 p.m. Three teen-aged males followed her as she walked up to her home on Prospect Street. One produced a handgun; they demanded money. They took her purse and her cell phone and fled. The victim wasn’t physically hurt. No arrests have been made in the incident.
