Hit, Run — & Help

A hit-and-run driver hit and killed a 38 year-old woman near Truman Street and Ella Grasso Boulevard around 8:30 Thursday night. Did you see it? The police are appealing for help: “Police are looking for a small pick-up truck that was last seen turning from Ella Grasso Boulevard onto Spring Street heading for West Haven. The vehicle would have sustained heavy front-end damage, possibly including the grill, hood and windshield. Anyone with any information should call the New Haven Police Department at 946-6316.”
