DeStefano Still For Joe — As Long As…

New Haven Mayor John DeStefano said Wednesday he’s still promising to support fellow New Haven Democrat Joe Lieberman for reelection to the U.S. Senate — at least through the primary, and providing Lieberman doesn’t ditch the party. Faced with a stiff challenge from another Democrat, Ned Lamont, Lieberman in considering breaking away to run as an independent in November. “I placed a call to Joe, which he returned, and I didn’t get a chance to talk to him to tell him how I felt about that,” DeStefano reported. “I’m hoping my good friend Joe Lieberman is going to run as a Democrat. I will be supporting the Democrat in the November election. Look, I have disagreements with Joe on the war and some other things. He’s been a good and fair senator for New Haven. He’s been a good and fair senator for Connecticut. He has earned my support. That said, I am supporting the Democratic candidate in November.”

Ok,Now That both John and Dan have both said what should be the easiest thing in the world to say how about doing what the position of "head of the party",the position they're both running for Demands?

Both should call Senator Lieberman and Demand a statement saying he'll abide by the small d democratic process that the big D Democratic Party has set up for deciding these things. If Joe can't live by this it's time we "KISS" him goodbye BEFORE the convention.
