Fatal shot

A 27-year-old man from the Dwight neighborhood was found suffering from a gunshot wound in the hallway of 280 Winthrop Ave. this morning. He was taken to Yale-New Haven Hospital and pronounced dead at 7:48 a.m. Police are still waiting for the medical examiner’s report, but suspect suicide. “All the evidence they have points towards it being self-inflicted,” said Officer Joe Avery.
