“Civic Union” Consummated

Those yellow-coated downtown greeters opened new doors of welcome Thursday on Orange Street, handing out white parcels of Godiva chocolate to those who stepped inside. The Town Green Special Services District, which employs “downtown ambassadors” like Harold Hassell (pictured), celebrated its “civic union” with the Greater New Haven Convention and Visitors Bureau. The two now share a brochure-filled office at 169 Orange St. with info about touristic spots in greater New Haven. M.B.
