Malloy Squeaks Out Endorsement Win; DeStefano: Now The Campaign Begins

In an edge-of-the-seat, hours-long race, Dannel Malloy edged out gubernatorial contender John DeStefano for the Democratic Party endorsement at the state convention Saturday by just four votes. After two hours of vote counts, challenges, and last-minute fence-hopping, the score was tallied: The Stamford mayor won 799 votes and DeStefano got 795.
