To: A Sister Dorm

A 40-foot container’s worth of dorm furniture, courtesy of Yalies, was loaded onto a ship this week bound for the students at Fourah Bay College in Sierra Leone. The shipment was arranged by the Freetown-New Haven Sister Cities Committee. The group raised over $6,000 from organizations including Dixwell Avenue Congregational United Church of Christ, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Theta Epsilon Omega Chapter, Amistad America, Inc., Yale, Yale-New Haven Hospital and NewAlliance Bank.
