First Bank Robbery of Year

In what police say is the first bank heist of the year, the NewAlliance Bank on Westville’s Fountain Street was looted Tuesday before 9:30 a.m. No arrests. … Between 7 a.m. and 3 p.m. Tuesday, two houses on Westville’s Cleveland Road were broken into through rear windows and robbed … And two Turkish crew members aboard a ship docked at the Gateway Terminal in the New Haven Harbor jumped ship at 3 a.m. Wednesday, illegally entering the country and scurrying off into the night.
