 After seven years of exhaustive public and private investi- gations, the New Haven State’s Attorney’s office announced that it was officially giving up on trying to solve the murder of Yale student Suzanne Jovin (pictured) and referring it to the state’s Cold Case Unit. … Wooster Square Alderman Michael Smart’s throwing a block party Saturday. Sadly, a federal jury has indicted the 59 year-old Hunter on charges that he stole thousands of dollars from an after-school and summer rec program for kids… Two former housing authority employees pleaded guilty to federal charges connected with the falsification of records and theft of federal money meant to repair the projects… The United Auto Workers, neutral in the Aug. 8 Democratic primary, endorsed Democrat Ned Lamont’s general-election campaign for U.S. Senate…
