Good Q #s For Elephants

A new Quinnipiac Poll released Thursday, the first since the primaries, brings good tidings for Republicans. GOP Gov. Rell leads Democratic opponent John DeStefano by 64 to 32 percent. And U.S. Sen. Joe Lieberman’s lead has narrowed over Democrat Ned Lamont, but remains at 12 percent. The poll established in yet another way that the White House-backed Lieberman, though nominally running as an “independent,” is basically the Republican in the three-way race. The supposed “Republican” (abandoned by party leaders) got only 4 percent the poll. Lieberman collected 75 percent of all Republican support. Click here for poll details.
