We’ve lost count. Suffice it to say that Dave “Take Five” Brubeck (pictured) will be back performing in New Haven Saturday for the first week of the free three-Saturday jazz festival on the Green. Tito Puente, Jr., son of the great jazzman who has also graced the Green’s summer jazz stage, will open.The acts begin at 6:30.; based on the crowds at recent Green concerts, you may want to get their early to set your blanket in a spot close enough to the stage. There’s also a “Jazz Cafe” and “live urban art” starting at 4 p.m…. Meanwhile, the festival needs volunteers for the cafe, program distrubtion, and other jobs.
