New Haven’s hardly the only American city seeing crime on the rise. Two officials — Assistant Chief Stephanie Redding (pictured) and Chief Administrative Officer John Buturla — are headed to a “National Violent Crime Summit” to pick up ideas for regaining control of our streets. Click here to read more in City Hall’s press release… Church on the Rock, at 95 Hamilton St., is offering free school supplies — and free haircuts for boys — from noon to 3 p.m. Wednesday. They have four barbers and 110 supplies-filled backpacks lined up. To donate supplies call 215-4630… The Shubert Theater holds a blood drive Thursday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. For an appointment call 624-1825… A federal judge sentenced a New Haven crack dealer known as “KB” to 132 months in prison followed by 10 years of supervised release.
