Or maybe the headline should read: “Republican Businessman Endorses DeStefano.” As mayor of New Haven, John DeStefano has tapped local business leader Roger Joyce for civic challenges like running the Empower New Haven board. As a candidate for governor, DeStefano received Joyce’s endorsement Wednesday. Joyce was wearing a statewide hat, as top dog at the Connecticut Business and Industry Association (although he spoke only for himself, not the group). Click here for Christine Stuart’s report.
