Joes Get Spotlight, Q-Club Style

Officer Joe Avery (pictured), everyone’s favorite neighborhood crime prevention specialist, went downtown Tuesday to be honored at a spiffy reception at the Q Club. Avery, a 14-year veteran cop, is known for unique crime prevention tactics and helping neighbors catch the block watch spark (he’s set up 80 block watches this year alone). … Fire Marshal Joseph Cappucci (pictured below), a 12-year veteran of the fire department, is a fire prevention specialist who teaches kids how to stop, drop and roll. The two were honored by the Rotary Club as Cop and Firefighter of the Year.
