He’s a detective. She’s in charge of NHPD family services. They met patrolling the streets of Fair Haven. Tuesday, they became sergeant and sergeant. Det. Martin Dadio (pictured) was one of nine New Haven cops to be promoted to the rank of sergeant in a ceremony in City Hall. The department aims to flesh out an understaffed force — still short nine lieutenants and five captains — via promotions and a class of 40 to 45 recruits in January. Said Dadio of his wife, Sgt. Lisa Dadio: “Oh, she’ll always outrank me.”
