Boy Hit With Car; Three Shot

A four year-old boy remains in serious condition after being hit by a car outside 1434 Quinnipiac Ave. at 3:23 p.m. Thursday. A vehicle that had collided with another car jumped the curb and hit him.
Read on for more crime details, according to police spokeswoman Bonnie Winchester.
Police have made no arrests, but have released the name of the man shot to death in Newhallville Thursday: Kenneth Vincent, 35, was from Newhallville.
Two other men reported being shot Thursday:
A man from Poplar Street told police he was shot in the neck while leaving the convenience store at Grand Avenue and Poplar at 6:49 p.m. The victim, 39, suffered non-life threatening injuries.
And a 28 year-old man was shot in the lower back outside 660 Howard Ave. at 7:05 p.m. Thursday.
Two robberies were reported:
A man told police he was walking on Cedar and Cassius Streets in the Hill at 9:08 p.m. when three men came up behind him, struck him on the head with a gun, and robbed him.
And a 22 year-old Yale student was followed into his apartment building 70 Howe St. and robbed of money at knifepoint at 11:30 p.m. Thursday. A similar incident happened at 84 Howe St. last month.
