Neighborhood Housing Services’ Newhallville revitalization project moved forward Monday night, as aldermen approved the sale of five blight-blistered Newhallville houses from the city to the not-for-profit builder. The homes, at 335 West Division St., and 552, 6535, 664, 678 Winchester Ave., will be rehabilitated and sold through a subsidized homebuyer program. Alderman also sent a message to Hartford seeking relief from United Illuminated’s whopping 38 percent rate hike for residential customers, as well as its 50 percent hike for business customers.
