day%20of%20caring.jpgTalk about “civic engagement”: Greater New Haven’s United Way got volunteers working on 195 different projects for the recent “Day of Caring.” The projects included “painting murals at a youth center, reading books to be recorded for the blind and dyslexic, repairing bicycles, replenishing woodchips in a school playground, and hosting an ice cream social at a complex for the elderly,” according to a release.
