fumiatti.jpgA good guy died from a heart attack — a good guy who happened to be a cop shot in the line of duty. Robert Fumiatti made a long, painful recovery from life-threatening wounds suffered on a drug raid. That was four years ago. He managed to recover enough to work as a cop again. But now he has died of a “major” heart attack. Click here to read the police department release. The mayor wants the man who shot Fumiatti in 2002, who’s already serving 45 years, charged with felony murder. Fumiatti is the second cop in the past three months to have died from injuries suffered in the line of duty; Daniel Picagli was the other.
