Dazed Woman Helped

A group was driving up Sylvan Avenue in the Hill at 12:12 a.m. Friday when they came across a 22-year-old city woman standing on the sidewalk in the artic cold with her pants down to her ankles. They didn’t know her, but collected her and drove her to the hospital. Cops found a bag of a rock-like substance resembling crack cocaine inside a baggie in the woman’s mouth. They are treating the woman as an assault victim.

A 26-year-old man riding in the passenger side of a car was shot in the arm Thursday at 6:53 p.m. at Newhall and Bassett Streets in Newhallville.

A man was returning home from a trip to the store at 9:19 p.m. Thursday, walking through the courtyard at 94 Norton St. when a man approached and asked for cigarettes or money. When the victim refused, he was punched in the nose. The victim declined medical attention.

And at 2:25 a.m. Friday on Valley St., a 26 year-old woman was struck in the head with a baseball bat during a dispute.
