Four teenage boys were shot in three separate incidents over the past two days. Read on for details, according to police spokeswoman Bonnie Winchester.

At 4:36 p.m. Wednesday, a 16-year-old boy reported having accidentally shot himself in the groin with a handgun near Level and Lodge Streets. He got on the bus and went home. He was later treated for non-life threatening injuries.

Wednesday at 8:26 p.m. at 93 Read St., three teens in a car were sprayed with bullets. The front and rear passengers, both 18, were shot in the arm and leg. The driver, 19, escaped unscathed.

And a 14-year-old boy showed up to the hospital Thursday night at 8:16 p.m. with a bullet wound to the left shin. He told police he had been standing in back of Dixwell Plaza with a friend when a dark car pulled up and someone shot at him. He didn’t call the cops, but went to the hospital, where police were notified 45 minutes after the incident.

And Winchester confirmed this disturbing tale described in the Register is true: A 7-year-old has been arrested for allegedly bringing crack cocaine to the Truman School.
