Mr. Bean’s Pearls of Wisdom

What to do about a “dirty Australian” in a coffee shop? Read the following postings from one of New Haven’s liveliest interactive venues, the bulletin board at Koffee? on Audubon Street.
Customer comment:
There is this dirty Australian who comes in, fairly often. He smells really bad, and if he could figure out how to use the bathrooms, maybe he could wash up and be a bit more presentable. Until then, maybe you guys can burn incense or candles? That would help the smell. At least when he is here. Thx!
Management’s posted response:
Are you sure he’s Australian? I thought he was British! Anywho… Candles & incense are not a good idea for 2 reasons.
1) No open flames!! &
2) They would cover the aroma of your fresh baked goods & hot coffee!
“Might I suggest that you carry a small bottle of Faberge for when you run into him? I’m sure you could sneak up on him a& give him a couple of squirts!
Hope this helps!
—Mr. Bean
P.S. I think all British Australians are obsessed with bathrooms!

Faberge? Isn't that a kind of decorative and expensive egg? Smelly British Australians and small bottles of Faberge. What's next in this city?! What a hilarious exchange!
