Hometown Boxing Champ Honored

“You are certainly a role model for the youth of the city,” said Hill Alderman Jorge Perez, honoring this 24-year-old undefeated boxing champ at Monday’s Board of Alderman meeting. “Bad” Chad Dawson (24-0) grew up in the Hill and learned to box on Congress Avenue. A graduate of Hillhouse High School, he won the WBC Light Heavyweight championship on Feb 3.
