White Files For Disability Retirement; Mayor Seeks Investigation

Embattled top narcotics cop Lt. Billy White (pictured) — arrested this week on theft and bribery charges in an FBI sting — filed papers Thursday seeking to retire early under a “service-related disability.” Mayor John DeStefano responded by calling for an investigation into White’s payroll records; click here to read City Hall’s release. White, a 39-year veteran of the city force, had planned to retire this June.
