The Board of Alderman Monday night passed a resolution calling on state lawmakers to take steps towards universal health care. On May 3 the BOA and New Haven residents will take a caravan up to Hartford to lobby for a universal health care package. The resolution, introduced by East Rock Alderman Roland Lemar, was approved 25-1. Morris Cove Alderwoman Arlene DePino voted against it.

Good Job! If enough councils/mayors and boards of aldermen did this, the General Assembly might actually act this year. I'm glad the Board did this.
