King Pleads Guilty

As new candidates vied to replace him, former Dixwell Alderman Drew King (pictured) pleaded guilty in Superior Court to third-degree assault. He was sentenced to one year in prison, execution suspended (meaning he doesn’t have to go), and two years of conditional discharge, with the condition that he not approach the woman he attempted to choke after a fight over a “Georgia hot” dog. Two other counts of violation of protective order were dismissed in the plea agreement made Thursday, according to court officials.
