Newton To Run Again

New Haven’s in “crisis.” So it needs Jim Newton. So says Jim Newton (pictured). He plans to announce formally on Saturday that he’s running against Mayor John DeStefano again. Newton, a close associate of former Mayor John Daniels, ran a spirited campaign against DeStefano in 1999. He has largely disappeared from public view since, beyond an occasional appearance at press events. Click here to read his campaign’s release about Saturday’s event.
