Great job covering healthcare reform in Connecticut. The rest of the media needs to
follow your lead. It's exciting that "single-payer" is being spoken out loud as a
desirable goal by folks there. So many Americans think that their own personal
healthcare is OK â€" and too often when they get sick they learn they only thought
they had a good plan because they never had to use it.
In 1945, Harry Truman said, "The time has arrived to help millions of Americans
living without a full measure of opportunity to achieve and enjoy good health... and
[to have] protection... against the economic effects of sickness."
Sixty-two years later, it's time.
