Paintball Attack

Three separate parties reported being robbed at gunpoint in Fair Haven Tuesday, and a pizza deliverer got shot in the head by a paintball while delivering to Beaver Hills. Read on for more details, according to police spokeswoman Bonnie Posick.

An 18-year-old man told police he was robbed at gunpoint in front of house on Pine Street at 11:21 p.m. He said someone approached him with a rifle, forced him to lay facedown on sidewalk, then took his mp3 player and cell phone.

Later that night in Fair Haven, a man and woman told police they arrived home to
572 Ferry St. at 2:48 a.m. when a group of three uknown men came up and robbed them. The man said he was pistolwhipped. The assailants stole cash, a cell phone, and a purse, and fled.

Later at at 124 Atwater St., a man and woman told police they were sitting outside their own home in a car at 3:23 a.m. when they were approached by two men in masks and knit hats. One had a shotgun. They took a purse, a cell phone and cash.

Over in Beaver Hills, a man said he had been delivering pizza to 33 Young St. at about
10:41 p.m. when two men came out from a rear yard, one wielding a paintball gun. They took his cash and cell phone. As the delivery man fled, he was hit in the head with a paint ball, causing a gash to his head.
