Pat Dillon shows her expertise in public health issues once again! Falls are the bain of seniors' existence. Prescription for seniors: keep in shape; do balance excercises, aerobics, tai chi, modest weight training. Use your meaningful life experience to stay active helping the community. For goodness sake don't become a couch potato.

So called "Senior Centers" should emphasize the need for excercise, sensible nutrition, diabetes management, understanding medication routine and not over-medicating, regular doctor, dental and podiatrist visits, understanding blood pressure parameters. Most of all seniors should maintain an interest in life, social involvement, what's going on around them. With the power of their experience they can make a real difference.

SENIORS OF THE WORLD UNITE!!
