Pit-Stopper Shot

Two men told police they stopped by the side of the road near Guilford Avenue to take a leak. They were on their way to the Puerto Rican parade in NYC just after midnight Sunday morning. One did his business, then bent over to tie his shoe and was shot in the left calf area, according to police.

Three people at a house party at 24 Dickerman St. got into a fight Saturday and cut up each other’s faces. They were treated for lascerations but declined to press charges, since all three said they were friends.
An ex-girlfriend crashed the bedroom of her former lover and his new girlfriend at an Elm Street home at 7:16 am Sunday. “Extremely distraught,” she carried a knife in her hand, another knife duct-taped to her chest and a crowbar fastened to her leg. Police disarmed her before anyone got hurt.
There was a three-alarm fire at Chuck’s Luncheonette just after 1:01 a.m. Friday — no one was in the building at the time.
A man biking on Dewitt and Putman Streets at 1:14 a.m. Saturday in the Hill when he was sprayed with a garden hose and “bad men took his bike.”
At 8:38 p.m. Saturday on Orchard Street, three men came in from Bridgeport to deliver ‘sneakers’ to a large group of men. Their 1988 Buick was carjacked. Victims gave chase, and police arrested a Hamden man for carjacking and robbery. Another five suspects got away.
A woman was robbed of her purse at Bowen Field near Hillhouse High School at 6:34 Saturday.
At 12:14 a.m. Monday at Ferry and Pine Streets, two victims were walking home from work when they were mugged by two armed men.
