ID%20line%20hour.jpgNew Haven had to send home some 200 people seeking to obtain the new immigrant- friendly municipal ID cards Thursday morning because the line was so large, according to City Hall’s Emily Byrne. Before the doors opened at 9 the line was already backed up to Elm Street. It turned out that 50 or so people were from surrounding towns and thus ineligible for the card, but New Haveners remaining on line still faced waits of more than an hour.
