A national figure will come to New Haven next Monday night to boost the mayoral candidacy of Ralph Ferrucci. Former Democratic U.S. Rep. Cynthia McKinney of Georgia — who’s now seeking the Greens’ presidential nomination — plans to speak at the fundraiser (at the home of peace activists Allie Perry and Charlie Pillsbury) about a documentary on black-voter suppression in the 2000 and 2004. (The film features her.) Cost: A $25 donation to help Ferrucci qualify for New Haven’s new publicly financed campaign program.
