Police are looking for this man, snapped on surveillance cameras while allegedly robbing the Citizen’s Bank Thursday. The man walked into the bank at 395 Whalley Ave. at 9:11 a.m., told the clerk he had a gun, stole money and got away with the loot. Cops gave this description: A black male, six feet tall, mid-thirties, bald head, mustache and glasses, wearing khaki colored shorts and a black pullover shirt.
Anyone with info about this suspect is urged to call the tips hotline at: 1-866-888-TIPS or 946-6304.
Read on for more crime details, according to police spokesman Officer Joe Avery.
A 20-year-old man was shot in the left foot near 119 Ellsworth Ave. at 11:11 p.m. Thursday.
The Joint New Haven Statewide Narcotics Task Force, which formed in the wake of the implosion of its narcotics unit after the Lt. Billy White theft and bribery scandal, raided two drug houses in Fair Haven Thursday.
At 258 Blatchley Ave., cops found crack cocaine, marijuana packaging materials and a 9mm handgun. They arrested four adults and a female juvenile on drug charges. At 505 Ferry St., cops found a quantity of marijuana and packaging material. They arrested three people, including two teens.
And at 12:40 a.m. Friday, officers responded to a loud party at 182 Saltonstall St. in Fair Haven. They stopped a vehicle attempting to leave the scene and found on the floor a sawed-off handgun. Since none of the passengers admitted to owning the gun, three occupants were all charged with illegal gun possession.

LOL have to love the "drug house" moniker. During the last failed attempt at prohibition we would have been reading about how the house was awash in booze. Also, why is it that irresponsible alcohol consumption can be considered funny: http://www.newhavenindependent.org/archives/2007/07/waucoma.php
"Beer: Helping ugly people have sex since 1862.", but pot and coke are somehow super, hysterical dangers to society? Is a three day meth/viagra bender somehow more "morally" depraved than a drunken young Republican moralist sexually assaulting one of his cohorts: http://www.towleroad.com/2007/08/gop-rising-star.html Alcohol is a lousy sex drug, but the most popular, legal "date rape" drug. Anyway, historical amnesia, willful ignorance, fear mongering and Puritanism and the attendant police corruption of "vice" crimes are alive and well in the U.S.A.
