denirotaxidriver.jpgSo long, Indiana… a new Hollywood heavyhitter is expected in town next week: Robert De Niro will be filming scenes of the thriller “Righteous Kill” in an East Rock home.

The film will be the first time De Niro and Al Pacino share a significant amount of screen time together. The two play cops chasing down a serial killer. (Click here for a report from the Cannes Festival.) Production, by Millennium Films and Emmett/Furla Films, started Aug. 6.

After hitting Bridgeport, the production crew will film scenes in New Haven Tuesday on Wednesday, according to Barbara Lamb, the city’s director of cultural affairs.

The location, according to Lamb: A home near the intersection of Orange and Willow Streets in the East Rock area.

Pacino won’t be there. But De Niro is scheduled to appear, confirmed Lamb.

Shots will all be “interior,” however, said Sid Swank, the movie’s publicist.

I'm reading tings I don't tink are completely accurate. Yeah, I'm talkin' to you. "The film will be the first time De Niro and Al Pacino share a significant amount of screen time together." What about Val Kilmer's "Heat?" That last scene was pretty "significant" between powerhouse DeNiro and so-so Pacino.
