A shirtless man was seen at 10:38 a.m. Thursday sneaking into 96 Carlisle St. in the Hill, in an area of frequent copper pipe theft. The burglar took a garbage bin full of copper pipes from the basement. Officers chased a suspect, but lost him.

Three shell casings, but no victims, were found at the site of gunshots overnight at Orchard and Charles Streets.

Thursday night around 10:55 p.m., cops got info of a man packing heat in a car on Fillmore Street. Police caught up with the car; the driver fled. As cops chased him through Fair Haven, the suspect turned around and pointed a gun at them before hopping a fence. Police later found and arrested the suspect in a backyard on Blatchley Avenue. He was arrested for gun possession; the gun was not found.

And a man showed up to St. Raphael’s hospital with knife wounds at 1:19 a.m. Friday. He told police he’d been beat up by three acquaintances, kicked in the head and cut with a switch blade.
