The feds are officially looking into whether Alderman Sergio Rodriguez is violating the federal Hatch Act by running for reelection while working at the housing authority. On Wednesday local activists who alerted the feds to the issue received this email message from Erica Stern Hamrick of the U.S. Office of Special Counsel’s Hatch Act Unit: “The matter has just recently been opened.
