Arrest Made In Toad’s Place Crash

Police have arrested a man for allegedly stabbing his roommate in the neck inside their Revere Street home at 4:47 a.m. Saturday. The victim, a 28-year-old man, is in stable condition at Yale New Haven Hospital. His roommate, 41 years old, was charged with first-degree assault.

Driver Arrested In Toad’s Place Crash

A young patron leaving the Toad’s Place nightclub early Sunday morning was trying to get into a car on York Street when he was struck by an oncoming vehicle. Police charged the driver, who’s 24, with drunken driving and other motor vehicle charges.

Three Deliverers Attacked

Three fast-food delivery people, one of whom ended up in the hospital, encountered muggers when delivering to the same stretch of Ella Grasso Boulevard this weekend.

Sunday at 11:20 p.m., a delivery man from the Hing Wah restaurant in Hamden arrived at 1579 Ella Grasso Blvd. Two men tried to rob him, but fled when he called 911.

Saturday at 9:51 p.m., a man delivering pizza to 1499 the Boulevard was given insufficient payment for the pies. When he said the payment was not enough, he was punched in the face by the man. Others arrived and also hit him, then robbed him of the money, food, and his car. The victim was treated at an area hospital.

Friday 5:42 p.m., a female driver from Shang Hai Restaurant was robbed by two men who hit her in the face while she was delivering to 1521 the Boulevard.

Man Robbed By Teens

A 46-year-old man was standing at the Dixwell Plaza at 7:36 pm Sunday when three young teens stole his wallet, ID and some cash. The victim positively IDed three suspects, 13, 14 and 15, who were then arrested by police.

On his way out of a store at 1492 Chapel St., a victim was stabbed in the abdomen by a man who followed him to his car at 7:21 p.m. Sunday.

A victim told police was walking with his friend at 19 Lamberton St. at 12:52 a.m. Monday three perps appraoched him. The man’s friend fled. One perp, aged 15, showed a handgun; another, aged 17, showed a knife. They grabbed his wallet and fled.

And police made an arrest in a domestic incident on Gilbert Street, where a woman reported she was being threatened by a man with a gun. Using the description provided by the victim, officers located and arrested a 24-year-old man. They caught him driving on Orchard Street, allegedly carrying an unlicensed gun.
