Crash Survivor Nabbed

Police found a car smashed into a pole at 3 a.m. Thursday.

Read on for details, according to police spokesman Officer Joe Avery.

The driver had fled the car, which was stuck at Whalley and Winthrop Avenues. An injured passenger remained inside. Cops found narcotics and a gun inside, and arrested the passenger, who’s 31, on possession charges.

And a man was robbed by a young man on a trick bike at 10:34 p.m. Wednesday at 65 Dwight St. The mugger, who simulated having a weapon, took the victim’s cell and wallet.
