“NEW HAVEN POLICE MAKE ARREST IN CHRISTMAS EVE SHOOTING
“Officers Also Make Arrest in Church Burglary

“NEW HAVEN- This morning, New Haven Police officers arrested 16-year-old Jaray Turner in connection with the Christmas Eve shooting of Gary Coleman, a 15-year-old New Haven resident. Turner was arrested and charged with the following: Assault in the First Degree, reckless endangerment 1st, Unlawful Discharge and Carrying a Pistol without a Permit.

“Monday, New Haven Police arrested 38-year-old Francis Casper for burglarizing St. Mary’s Church at 5 Hillhouse Avenue. Officers responded after notification of an alarm goig off at the church where they found Casper out through the front door. Casper was charged with Burglary in the 3rd, Possession of Burglary Tools and Criminal Attempt Larceny in the 6th. “
