Anna Deavere Smith Takes On The Body

Anna Deavere Smith collected the words of doctors and patients while serving as visiting professor at the Yale School of Medicine. The project soon spilled beyond the walls of the Yale-New Haven Hospital; she ended up interviewing athletes and supermodels, healers and hospice-workers, human rights activists and war criminals from around the world.
