Here’s what happened, according to mayoral spokeswoman Jessica Mayorga:

The boy was walking at around 9 p.m. Tuesday when the two men approached him. One wore a black mask, a black North Face jacket and black pants, the other, a black hoodie and black pants. One showed a gun and demanded money. The muggers took $6 from the boy, then fled on Quinnipiac Avenue on foot. The boy wasn’t injured.

Earlier, at 5:52 p.m., the police received a call about gunshots on Shelton Ave. They showed up and found two boys (under 16) playing with a pellet gun. No arrests were made.
