Police responded to the rear of 1500 Ella Grasso Blvd. on report of an injured female on Saturday at 11:46 p.m.

Here’s what happened, according to police spokesman Officer Joe Avery:

A 16-year-old female was found there, “lying in the prone position, barely coherent.” Her face was bleeding. An ambulance took her to YNHH, were she was diagnosed with massive head trauma and listed in critical condition.

Cops secured the scene but have not yet reported any arrests on the assault.

Also according to Avery:

Carjacked

A man told police he stopped his car at the corner of Ferry and Clay to pop into the Quality Market at 10:22 p.m. Saturday. When he got back to his car, he was approached by three unknown men in masks. One showed him a gun and ordered him out of the driver’s seat. They made off with his car, a 1994 Honda Civic, license plate CT 404-WDA.

Firehouse Trespasser

Firemen returned to their firehouse at 952 Grand Ave. at 9:34 p.m. Sunday to find a stranger inside the building. The woman, who’s 25, fled into the locker area and tried to hide. She was detained until police arrived then arrested.

The trespassing incident comes on the heels of another break-in at the same address. This past week, when firemen were out on call, someone broke in and stole fire department equipment, as well as a firefighter’s personal car (the keys were at headquarters).

Hotel Stay Interrupted

A man and woman were inside a hotel room at 8:36 a.m. Sunday at the Regal Inn at 1605 Whalley Ave. when two men burst into the room with a gun. They held the victims at gunpoint and ransacked the room. They fled on foot after stealing a red lumberjack jacket, a black North Face jacket, and $42.

Convenience Store Robbed

Three men rushed into a small store at 543 Howard Ave. at 11:04 a.m. Monday. They went behind the counter, robbed the clerk, snatched some items and $400, and fled.
