A car bust into flames in the parking lot of 365 Orchard St. Thursday.

According to police spokesman Officer Joe Avery:

Neighbors saw a thin man running through the rear yards of the property towards Kensington St, carrying a gas can. He was wearing a black cap and a black jacket. Cops secured the scene and found a large red gasoline container on the sidewalk of Kensington Street. The arson squad and police detectives are on the case.

Two more drug busts Thursday in the Hill:

A 39-year-old New Haven man was arrested. Cops say they saw him make a hand-to-hand sale of crack cocaine near his home at 35 West St. About .5 grams of crack and $78 cash were seized.

Cops also arrested a 19-year-old on Hulburt Street. Cops say the suspect sold crack then fled on foot. Seized was about 1.5 grams of crack cocaine, 3 grams of marijuana and $430.00 cash.
