Lauri Roman Cleans Her Office

In five minutes! A presidential candidate was coming.
The swift cleaning job took place Monday morning at the Yale Child Study Center, where Democratic presidential candidate and a few of her closest international news crews came for a campaign event. (Click here to read about that event.)
Lauri Roman is a facilities coordinator at the center. She arrived at work at 8 a.m. Monday to learn that her office was going to be the waiting room where Hillary herself would chill before making her grand entrance.
Roman had been sent an email message over the weekend alerting her to get the space ready. But, she said, “I took a weekend off from my email. Oops!”
Normally it takes “a while” to clean her office. “I’m the computer tech. There’s a lot of computer stuff everywhere.” She didn’t have “a while” on Monday morning. The cleaning job “took me five minutes,” she reported. “I hid everything.”
That did the trick. While Clinton took over her office, Roman went to the second-floor conference room where Clinton subsequently held a 90-minute daytime TV-like conversation about health care. Roman grabbed an early seat in the soon-to-be-overflowing room, and saw the whole show.
