Trespassing Suspects Nabbed
by Melissa Bailey | February 15, 2008 3:15 PM | Permalink | Comments (9)
A neighbor reported hearing gunshots at Presidential Gardens, at 200 Shelton Ave, Thursday evening at 8:51 p.m.. Here’s what happened, according to police:
The caller reported hearing three to seven shots, but cops showed up and couldn’t find any ballistic evidence. They did find two young men in the courtyard. The suspects fled upon seeing the Law. Cops caught up with them on foot and arrested two young men, aged 17 and 20, on charges of trespassing and interfering with police.

OK am I the only one that has a little problem with this? Did they find a gun?? Or they just think they hid the gun. My problem is the drug dealers are out there and they can not arrest them but they arrested these two on trespassing??? So can they arrest the dealers for loitering? Gee I'm in a mood.

Hey Cedar Hill Resident,
Did you ever wonder why these guys ran from the cops? Innocent people dont run from the police. If you take a look at statistics, drug dealers are arrested daily for loitering in a "drug zone." Do some research then post a comment.

Cedar Hill Resident,
No I am not your chief-I personally am not fond of the NHPD Chief either. However, you seem very hard on NHPD Officers. They go out there every day and night and risk their life to try make your day a little safer. We had two officers die last year and I dont remember seeing any type of comments for them or their grieving families by you. You seem very bitter and negative towards the "good" ones. It would be nice to see-just once something positive said in these comment boards.

Hey Cedar Hill Resident,
My initial comment to you was in regards to yours. You made it sound like the cops were picking on innocent people (who run I made add) If you would like to get specific with crime stats-lets do it. In the 31 days of January, there was 1 Loitering incident and 53 criminal trespass arrests...Do you know why? Loitering arrests result in a ticket-just like going through a stop sign. Criminal Trespass arrests are jailable offenses where officers then can take them into custody and use the intelligence gained for future reference-maybe when dealing with someone in your area. Also, if you would like to see more drug dealers off your street, take some time with your chief and demand a Narcotics Unit within the NHPD instead of an outside source unfamiliar with the area.

Pro Cop
hmm ask a few that know me if they think I am hard on them. I support them! And most know I do! I grew up with one of the officers that died!! And if you Went to my web site you would of seen a big memorial for him!! And I still have a picture of him in one of my videos as a officer that had love and made a difference! SO DO NOT JUDGE ME IF YOU DO NOT KNOW WHO I AM and where I am from! Wow you are a very sad person I feel very sorry for you to have to attact me.
But it is ok, I forgive you.
STATS from my area!! And OMG you really have no clue who I am and what I do for my area based on the last comment.....ok people he said
"if I would take some time!!" ok I am laughing now! PAUL this person has broken some rules by posting untruths about me that all here know are untrue!

Cedar Hill-
I'm done going back and forth with you.
I really don't care who you are. When you post a comment incinuating that cops are arresting innocent bystanders and ignoring drug dealers its going to evoke a response.
You got my response.
Have a great day.
Paul- I suppose you should sensor my comment and pacify Cedar Hill.

Good then I can get the last word in...
First read the first comment!!! Not read into it...just plain read it! I was not stating that these kids were innocent! I was stating if the cops can do this trespassing thing to get kids they know were most likely the ones with the gun...then why can't they do it for drug dealers...that is all I was saying...
And yes my sweet I except your apology for ASSUMING I was just some blogger that does not dedicate a large part of my free time into making my community and the city a better place to live. Again thank you. And Paul you can leave this mess up. I fine with it....
