A man tried to mug someone at Ferry and Chapel Streets at 11:10 p.m. Thursday, according to police spokesman Officer Joe Avery.

The robber pretended he had a weapon and demanded cash. The victim wasn’t fooled. The robber, a 21-25-year-old man in black pants and a beige hoody, retreated in defeat.
