Knock, Knock

Police report three attempted (two successful) robberies last night.

A man was home on Lilac Street at 12:25 a.m. Tuesday when he heard a knock at his front door. Three unknown men force their way into the hallway and tried to rob him. He said he didn’t have any money. They left without injuring him.


A man told police he was getting out of his car at 15 Donna Dr. at 8:11 p.m. Monday when a man came up and pointed a gun at him. The victim was robbed of $300 in cash and a LG cell phone. The suspect, described as wearing a black ski mask and black clothing, fled into the night down Donna Drive.

A 19-year-old male from West Haven told police he was walking on Dixwell Avenue near Ford Street at 9:45 p.m. Monday when he was approached by three boys in their late teens. They brandished a gun, forced him into a rear yard and stole his wallet.
