Since these people are not citizens of the United States, then I suggest that you take a trip to Mexico and ask President Calderon to take care of this problem. Either that, or send him the bill for all the social services we provide to his fellow countrymen.

Dear Fed Up...you have turned this topic into something that it is not.."These people" (Latinos) do not all fit into the very limited view you might have of a certain population of people.
As a nation, many of us are struggling during a very difficult economic period. We should be careful not to use our frustration in a negative way and lambaste an entire population of people.
I am sure you already know that many Latinos in this country are Puerto Ricans (American citizens) and legal residents from Hispaniola.
Be careful with your stereotypes. It sounds ugly.

Fed Up, the comment you wrote is racist and ignorant. The two brothers pictured are of Puerto Rican descent. The summit was addressing Latinos of all countries, unless you think the term Latino refers only to Mexicans. Educate yourself before you post comments like this.

Interestingly, it is homophobic pastors and religious nuts who prevent same sex couples from getting health insurance, or even being able to keep in touch with one's partner in a medical emergency. Ask me how I know.
Religion and public policy are always a bad mix - why the need to drag superstition into everything?
